Who's Quinn?
I'm a thirty year old guy (how the hell did that happen?) currently living and working in Leogane, Haiti. I first came to here in July 2010 and stayed until February 2011. I returned in June 2011 and will likely be here until summer 2012. I've spent my time here working with All Hands Volunteers, a small NGO helping in the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake. Leogane was at the center of that earthquake. My primary focus here is helping to run the All Hands Biosand Filter Program, which is bringing clean water to people in and around Leogane who do not have it.
I met Jenny last year when I was first in Haiti but didn't get to know her well, both because she can be very shy, and because my Creole wasn't up to par. This second time around however, armed with a basic grasp of the language and a desire to spend more time with the people of Haiti, I have gotten close to not only Jenny, but her entire family. When I have the time to spare, I like going to their home on Sunday to relax and take in a day in their lives.
This website isn't about me. It's about Jenny. If you want to learn more about what I'm up to, head over to my blog, These New Boots.
