What's This All About?

In short, it's about helping an incredible young lady finish high school so she can graduate and pursue her dream of being a nurse.

Her name is Jenny. She's seventeen years old, she's from Dufort, Haiti, and she's a friend of mine. To learn more about her, click on the "Who's Jenny" link above.

Since I'll be the bridge between Jenny and anyone out there reading this, you can read a quick intro about who I am on the "Who's Quinn" link.

If you feel helping Jenny finish her school is something you'd like to do, please click the"Let's Do This!" link. You can also click on "The Proof" to track progress in the form of receipts, and see where the donations are going.

Any updates will follow below. Thank you / mesi.

It Begins!

Alright, let's get this party started. The "Who's Jenny?" & "Who's Quinn?" links at the top of this page should be live, and I've added another, "The Proof" so you all can see where the money is going and when. Transparency is a good thing. I'm currently working to set up an IndieGoGo fundraising campaign for Jenny, but I need to know how much putting her all the way through high school will cost before I can finalize the campaign. Once I do, the "Let's Do This!" link will point that way. In the meantime, it has info on how you can donate directly to me via Paypal. Let me know you want it to go toward Jenny's school, and I'll make it happen.

A big thank you to my long-time friend Prakash Chandran and his $225 donation, which covers Jenny's prior debt and clears the way for her to re-enroll in classes this year. Another big thank you to my dad, Bruce Zimmerman, and my stepmom, Pia Paulsen, for donating $350, which helps take a huge chunk out of what Jenny needs for her 2011 - 2012 Sophomore year ($498.50 total). My dad dropped $5 in the weekly office lotto, won back $350, and they fired it over Jenny's way. Sometimes things are meant to be it seems...

And we continue!
