The Proof

Transparency is a good thing. To help you calculate costs, most of these receipts are in Haitian Dollars (HTD). Some may be in Haitian Gourdes (HTG). If anything is in US Dollars (USD) I'll make it clear. Here's how they break down:

1 USD = 8 HTD = 40 HTG

When I calculate the costs in USD, I get the total cost in HTG first (by multiplying the cost in HTD by 5) then divide that by 40.

Pre-2011 - 2012 School Year (Before Sophmore Year):

Jenny's outstanding debt from last year (2010 - 2011), which had to be paid prior to her being able to enroll for 2011 - 2012. It totals $1750 HTD, which is $218.75 USD.
A receipt verifying that Jenny's outstanding 2010 - 2011 has been paid. I paid it late September, prior to her school beginning. The cost was covered by a generous donation from my long-time friend Prakash Chandran. Thank you!

2011 - 2012 School Year (Sophomore Year):

The total costs for Jenny to enroll in her school for 2011 - 2012. It's broken down in my chicken-scratch English for those of you who can't read French. The total comes to $498.25 USD for everything Jenny needs for her 2011 - 2012 Sophomore year. My dad and stepmom, Bruce Zimmerman and Pia Paulsen, have contributed $350 toward this. Thank you both! Feel like helping cover the rest? Do it!
